Last weekend the Moorestown Rotary Breakfast Club had members volunteer time to clean the Jeff Young Memorial Park in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day. The Club adopted the memorial park several years ago, and have involved the Boys Scouts to help thank those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to their country. The nine-acre Memorial Park was named after Sgt Jeff Young, a US Marine and local Moorestown resident who was killed in 1983 in a terrorist bombing of the U.S. Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. " It has been 36 years ago when 241 Marines gave their lives in defending the United States, and the Rotary Club is pleased to give Service above Self to help remember, said past President Scott Aschoff."
